The project focus was to improve accessibility to all seating levels within the theater and public restrooms. Interior accessibility renovations included reconstruction of the upper balcony to improve sight-lines, new elevators and corridors to provide access to all seating, staff areas and lobby levels, special accessible seating areas and enlarged restrooms.
A new glass enclosed “WinterGarden” lobby addition matching the Wells Street canopy was included to improve lobby circulation and function.
General interior renovation included replacement of all 1400 seats, complete carpet replacement with custom woven field and boarder carpet and repairs to faux finishes.
Exterior repairs included brick and stone masonry tuckpointing, repair and repainting of the formed sheet metal façade elements and Wells Street canopy and reroofing.
